KUALA LUMPUR: Crude palm oil futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed higher yesterday taking the cue from higher crude oil prices, dealers said.
At close, both December 2011 and January 2012 rose RM29 each to RM3,081 a tonne and RM3,112, respectively, February 2012 gained RM34 to RM3,119 a tonne and March 2012 gained RM26 to RM3,115.
Turnover jumped to 19,637 lots, from 17,804 lots, recorded on Tuesday while open interest slipped to 119,619 contracts compared with 124,156 contracts, registered previously.
On the physical market, December South rose RM30 to RM3,130 per tonne. Bernama
