CRUDE palm oil futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended higher in tandem with bullish soyabean and light crude oil futures movement on the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT), dealers said.
October 2011 increased RM18 to RM2,860 a tonne, November 2011 added RM58 to RM2,888 a tonne, December 2011 rose RM62 to RM2,906 a tonne while January 2012 gained RM69 to RM2,915 a tonne.
Volume amounted to 21,641 lots from Thursday’s 15,240 lots while open interest rose to 143,338 contracts, from Thursday’s 143,285 contracts.
On the physical market, October South climbed RM40 to RM2,900 a tonne.
