CRUDE palm oil (CPO) futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended
higher yesterday on positive export data from Malaysian Palm Oil Board
(MPOB), dealers said. According to MPOB, palm oil exports in April rose
to 1.332 million tonnes from the 1.235 million tonnes in March.
May
2011 gained RM25 to RM3,500 a tonne, June 2011 rose RM26 to RM3,360,
July 2011 gained RM20 to RM3,258 and August 2011 climbed RM8 to RM3,228.
However,
turnover slipped to 23,632 lots from 25,184 lots on Monday, while open
interest rose to 112,921 contracts from 111,691 previously.
On the physical market, May South stayed at RM3,380 a tonne.
