Malaysia is one of the biggest producers and exporters of palm oil, accounting for 35% of world palm oil production and 46% of world exports to more than 150 countries. It plays a crucial role by fulfilling the global appetite for oils and fats and ensuring the production of palm oil meets stringent sustainability criteria. As part of continuing efforts to create greater acceptance of Malaysian palm oil, the Malaysia-Russia Palm Oil Trade Fair and Seminar (POTS) will be held between 16 – 17 September, 2013 in Moscow, Russia.
Objectives
The objectives of the Malaysia-Russia Palm Oil Trade Fair and Seminar are as follows:
1. To generate greater awareness about the advantages of Malaysian Palm Oil, including its nutritional benefits and versatility across food and non-food applications and to promote greater usage of Malaysian Palm Oil and its related product.
2. To establish, renew and broaden the network circle among buyers, manufacturers and end users to foster a better understanding of Malaysian Palm Oil in the oils and fats industry in Russia.
3. To provide a conducive platform for interaction between members of the Malaysian palm oil industry and Russian end users as well as to explore areas of common interest and opportunities.
