The Malaysian Palm Oil Council (MPOC) would like to thank all MPOC essay competition 2015 participants.
We received a large number of submissions. Each submission was subjected to full review by our panel of judges as described in our Terms and Conditions of the competition. This procedure inevitably resulted in delays in announcing the outcome of the competition and we sincerely apologise for this delay. Based on the review by the panel of judges, a decision was made that there were no submissions that met the prescribed quality needed to award the top prizes. We therefore decided to give out only consolation prizes of USD 300 to 10 winners. The decision of the panel of judges is final and no further correspondence on this matter will be entertained. Here we announce the consolation prize winners and these individuals have already been notified accordingly. Congratulations! Category 1: Oil palm is not the cause of deforestation
Category 2: Fats including palm oil consumption are no longer associated with coronary heart disease
