MPOC recently organised a one-day seminar in conjunction with Monash University at the Sunway campus. The aim of the seminar was to engage academics, industry and NGOs in a public discourse about the environmental/sustainability issues surrounding palm oil. It was also a great opportunity to let students learn more about one of the biggest industries in the Malaysian economy. 

There were a series of presentations and panel discussions amongst professionals from different fields of expertise. MPOC also included a cooking demonstration to showcase the use of palm oil to deep-fry and red palm oil to stir-fry. 

The event was a huge success and hopefully we will see further iterations of similar events as we try to reach out to other universities and institutes of learning.
