KUALA LUMPUR: Crude palm oil futures contracts on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended higher yesterday on signs of strong export performance.
March 2014 rose RM57 to RM2,765 a tonne, April 2014 added RM54 to RM2,770 a tonne and May 2014 gained RM47 to RM2,755 a tonne. June 2014 increased RM43 to RM2,740 a tonne, July 2014 added RM37 to RM2,720 a tonne and August 2014 added RM32 to RM2,701 a tonne.
Turnover dropped to 39,428 lots from 44,123 lots on Wednesday and open interest decreased to 223,759 contracts from 225,981 contracts recorded previously.
On the physical market, March South gained RM50 to RM2,780 a tonne.
