Sime Darby Bhd, Malaysia’s largest publicly-traded palm oil producer,
said it shipped its first so-called segregated certified sustainable
palm oil from its facility in Sabah to Rotterdam in Holland on May 29.
The
shipment of approximately 3,500 tons of palm oil will arrive in about a
month, the Kuala Lumpur-based company said in an e-mailed statement
today. Unilever NV will further process the commodity for its “various
home, personal care and food products,” it said. — Bloomberg
