CPO Futures Down on Slow Trade

CRUDE palm oil futures prices on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed

lower yesterday as buyers stayed on the sidelines to await the release

of export data, dealers said.

June 2011 and July 2011 contracts

both fell by RM8 each to close at RM3,261 a tonne and RM3,723

respectively, while August 2011 shed RM7 to RM3,253. September 2011

slipped RM14 to RM3,248.

Turnover declined to 21,936 lots from

24,692 lots on Monday while open interest eased to 113,379 contracts

from 113,415 contracts previously.

On the physical market, June South fell to RM3,270 from RM3,300 a tonne on Monday.
