CPO Futures Up on Data Report

palm oil futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed higher yesterday

on expectations of higher exports data, dealers said.

Traders were expecting favourable exports data for palm oil which will be released tomorrow.

Cargo

surveyor Societe Generale de Surveillance reported recently that

exports of Malaysian palm oil products for October 1 to 10 fell to

382,828 tonnes from 383,456 tonnes shipped from September 1 to 10.

In yesterday’s trading, October 2010 gained RM10 to RM2,880 a tonne,

November 2010 rose RM27 to RM2,928 a tonne, December 2010 increased RM30

to RM2,930 a tonne, January 2011 rose RM29 to RM2,932 a tonne and

Febuary 2011 increased RM37 to RM2,932 a tonne.
