Palm Futures End Broadly Higher

CRUDE palm oil futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives extended their gains yesterday as buyers were convinced that supply would get tighter over the next few months, a dealer said.

January 2012 rose RM16 to RM3,095 a tonne, February and March 2012 added RM25 each to RM3,100 and RM3,097. April 2012 rose RM34 to RM3,090.

Volume fell to 23,013 lots, from 24,123 lots on Wednesday, while open interest dropped to 113,094 contracts from 113,982 contracts.

On the physical market, January South gained RM10 to RM3,100 a tonne.
