Palm Futures End Broadly Lower

CRUDE palm oil (CPO) futures prices closed mostly lower yesterday on news of lower exports and lack of demand, dealers said.

A dealer said the players reacted to the weak export data and trimmed their positions.

2010 rose RM15 to RM3,665 a tonne, January 2011 slipped RM37 to

RM3,683, February 2011 eased RM11 to RM3,669 and March 2011 fell RM6 to

RM3,614.

Total volume declined to 20,825 lots from 24,180 on Tuesday. Open

interests declined to 87,918 contracts from 88,997 previously.

On the physical market, December South declined to RM3,680 from RM3,720 on Tuesday.
