Palm Futures End Firmer on Speculative Buying

THE crude palm oil futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed firmer yesterday on speculative buying interest, said a dealer.

December 2011 ended RM31 higher at RM3,260 a tonne, January 2012 added RM42 to RM3,260 a tonne, February 2012 gained RM36 to RM3,248 a tonne while March 2012 advanced by RM34 to RM3,345 a tonne.

Turnover rose to 48,860 lots while open interest stood at 126,659 contracts.

On the physical market, November South added RM30 to RM3,260.
