Palm Futures End Sharply Lower

CRUDE palm oil (CPO) futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed sharply lower yesterday after the release of the US Department of Agriculture’s soya bean report, a dealer said.

September declined by RM28 to RM3,104 a tonne, October fell by RM46 to RM3,061, November shed RM51 to RM3,019 and December fell by RM54 to RM3,007.

Turnover, however, increased to 20,813 lots from 10,879 lots on Monday while open interest rose to 134,422 contracts from 134,162 on Monday.

On the physical market, September South fell by RM20 to RM3,110 from RM3,130 a tonne previously .
