Palm Futures Lower on Profit-Taking

CRUDE Palm Oil futures prices on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended the day lower on profit-taking, dealers said.

According to a dealer, players are awaiting fresh leads, to make a move in the market.

At the close, January 2011 slipped RM76 each to RM3,570 a tonne, February

2011 eased RM83 to RM3,547 a tonne, March 2011 fell RM80 to RM3,503 a

tonne and April 2011 declined RM88 to RM3,451 a tonne.

The day’s total volume increased to 17,341 lots from 13,521 lots on

Thursday while open interests declined to 87,002 contracts from 87,784

contracts previously.

On the physical market, January South stood at RM3,570 a tonne.
