Palm Oil Industry Leadership Award (PILA) 2015

The Malaysian palm oil industry has quickly emerged as a global leader in the oils and fats market and is being increasingly acknowledged for its leadership and innovative roles. It meanwhile continues to be a major pillar of the Malaysian economy and has contributed RM63.62 billion in 2014.

These are major strides and achievements attributable to our industry and, on many instances, to certain individuals, whose leadership contributions, in the form of corporate governance, innovations, policy change etc. that have impacted the palm oil industry in a major way and often resulted in measurable benefits for the industry.

MPOC therefore wishes to honour such outstanding individuals and recognise them for their leadership efforts and qualities.

We have created the Palm Oil Industry Leadership Award (PILA) for such industry leaders. The award is presented every year at the Palm Oil Industry Leadership Award Dinner.

Palm Oil Industry Leadership Forum (PILF) will be organised in conjunction with the Palm Oil Industry Leadership Award (PILA) Dinner. This forum provides a platform for leaders in the palm oil industry to discuss emerging trends and share their thoughts, ideas and concerns within the industry.

The Forum will be held in the afternoon prior to the dinner event. Themed Reminbi Trade Financing – Tool of Trade to Enhance Palm Oil Export to China, the forum is organised in recognition of China as one of the biggest importer of Malaysian palm oil.  The competitive edge offered by Reminbi trade financing could lead to greater Malaysian palm oil export to China, as it would be less speculative compared to USD denominated trading.

Programme is as follows:

Date    : Monday, 7 September 2015
Venue : Hotel InterContinental Kuala Lumpur
